Meet Michelle Ponich
My mother was a force. Not the kind that sucks the air out of a room. The kind that draws people in, gets them leaning forward, and makes them want to be part of whatever she is saying.
She never demanded attention. She earned it through the way she carried herself, the way she listened, the way she made every person in her presence feel like they were worth her full attention. People did not just notice her. They moved toward her.
I did not have a word for it then. I do now. This was presence. And watching her taught me that it is not something you perform. It is something you embody. It is built quietly, over time, through the way you lead yourself before you ever try to lead anyone else.
This understanding sits at the core of everything Persona does.
Authority Shaped Outside the Boardroom
Michelle’s experience extends beyond traditional leadership environments. Her path led into professional boxing, a world defined by hierarchy, tradition, and scrutiny, where leadership at the highest levels has historically been held by men.
She did not ease her way in. She shattered a glass ceiling, stepping into roles few women had occupied before.
Today, she serves as Vice President of the North American Boxing Federation, a Ringside Supervisor for Professional Boxing, and an Ambassador with WBC Cares.
Operating in that environment requires composure, precision, emotional intelligence, and fairness under pressure.
Respect is earned moment by moment. Those same qualities shape her advisory work. She reads dynamics quickly, understands how influence moves in a room, and knows when clarity, restraint, or directness is required.
The Work Behind Persona
Persona was built after years of working inside systems where communication failures carried real consequence and where presence often determined outcomes long before decisions were formalized.
Rather than narrowing her work to fit a single function, Michelle built a practice that integrates strategic communication, executive presence, and visual alignment.
The goal is not reinvention. It is alignment. When identity, communication, and presence are coherent, credibility strengthens.
Her clients often seek her counsel at inflection points. Promotion. Increased visibility. Transition. Public scrutiny. Organizational change. In these moments, steadiness matters.
Philosophy
Presence is not performative.
Confidence is not cosmetic.
Reputation is not accidental.
They are built through alignment, discipline, and the ability to lead oneself well under pressure.
“I’ve seen what happens when people feel seen. It changes how they lead, how they love, and how they live. That’s the power of presence.”
